Should we have a ‘giving away’ in our wedding ceremony?

Should we have a ‘giving away’ in our wedding ceremony?

Traditionally a wedding ceremony began with the father, or male role model of the bride, walking her down the aisle and giving his permission for the union to take place.

This is not so necessary these days.

However, lots of brides, grooms and/or partners still like to have someone special walk them down the aisle and even proclaim their love and support for the marriage taking place.

So what’s the best way to do this?
